Rye is a very cold and difficult person to get along with. Her years of living in Nebulascope and being around the people of BlackWing has made her apathetic to the world around her, even though her goal is shutting down the laboratories. Despite being very skilled in combat, Rye only has two-three major fight scenes during the entire story. Unlike Iris, Damian, and Jun who tend to be more hot headed and will have the most combat scenes, Rye finds physical fights rather annoying and would rather find any other way out of a situation. Combat is usually the backup to her, which is ironic since she has more artwork of her fighting compared to the others.From being a lab rat for RUNEVEL and escaping to Reverian Roses, Rye hated being seen as weaker and lesser compared to her peers due to the experiments done on her body. Her desire was pulled apart into wanting to be a part of these cool important missions to take down the laboratories but also yearning for a normal life in Revera. Unfortunately, being an orphan with no money was never going to make the second desire come true. Especially after she dropped out of Reverian Roses.Rye later joined CMDU to make money and hunt down Class 1 Cyber Mutants. After years of constant fighting, she wondered if there would ever be an end to the monster that roamed outside the walls. Quitting CMDU has slowly improved her life but she was still in a harsh environment as she joined BlackWing to focus more on research about the Cyber Mutants and the RUNEVEL Laboratories. While other characters specialize in a specific skill such as Iris with fist fighting and Nova with tinkering, Rye tends to join both worlds. She is the embodiment of “jack of all trades master of none is often better than master of one.” She enjoys tinkering, building, and decorating gadgets whilst also being a previous Class 1 Cyber Mutant Hunter. Rye has mastered every weapon used for Cyber Mutants such as using the swords and guns made for the job. She has trained hard to get to where she is even though she will never reach Iris’ level in terms of physical strength due to the experiments done on her as a child. Because of this, Rye has to utilize the environment around her since she knows raw fist fighting alone won’t help her. She’ll parkour, use scraps or her gadgets, or even sway conversations with people to achieve her goals. She’s open to new ideas and skills making her have every skill of each of the main 4 protagonists, except riding motorcycles.LONG SUMMARY
Rye was one of RUNEVEL’s experiments located in Lab ORCA. Rye later escaped at the age of 8 and was put in an orphanage in Centrose, Revera.After Reverian Roses learned about the escapee from lab ORCA, they bombarded Rye with a lot of questions and urged her to join Reverian Roses since she could be helpful to them. Rye agreed to join the Reverian Roses training for those younger than 18. Lab ORCA was later found and infiltrated, however, nobody was saved leaving Rye as the only survivor from lab ORCA.Rye found the Reverian Roses base to be very cool and wanted to be a part of the important missions. However, instead of being able to be part of most of the training, Rye was mostly held back from advancing from some of the mentors/instructors.She was solely needed for information about laboratory ORCA and once Rye had nothing else to say, she was very neglected by most of the adults. It also didn’t help that Rye also wasn’t the best at her training and was weaker compared to her peers due to healing from some scars from experiments.However, Rye was fond of one person from the Reverian Roses. She was assigned Iris as her mentor and idolized her. Iris was a strong and confident lady who could handle anything and she was also very caring towards Rye, almost like a sister. She always made sure Rye felt welcomed and involved in the community. In Rye’s eyes, Iris was basically her god.Rye was in the same training class with two other kids her age, Damian and Dovella. As they grew up together, Damian and Rye grew closer together even to the point where they became friends. They would go to festivals together, have sleepovers after training, the list goes on. Despite the fact that they were closer than friends, their relationship was rather unhealthy.Following an incident that changed the course of Rye’s life, Rye was forced to drop out of Reverian Roses. Iris had just died, Rye disassociated with Damian, and Rye officially left the Reverian Roses Base for good. Since Rye was older she had less support from the orphanage, Rye had to get a job.And from then on Rye joined the CMDU to hunt Class 1 Cyber Mutants outside of Nebulascope to make money. This was where she was called an orca a lot because of her survivor’s guilt for escaping Lab ORCA. It was also possibly the worst time in Rye’s life, she absolutely hated working as a cyber mutant hunter since it was an extremely dangerous and traumatic job. And after years of the awful life as a cyber mutant hunter she got tired of all this and wanted to find the source of these mutants and bring an end to them. So she left and joined BlackWing.Life in CMDU and BlackWing was very different then in Reverian Roses. The environment was a lot harsher and everything was more about survival. Her yearning and dreams of a normal life were crushed. This unforgiving way of life made Rye a very difficult person to get along with, afraid to show vulnerability and be seen the same way most people in Reverian Roses saw her. Not to mention, Rye had already lost many friends in her life from the labs to her CMDU service that she felt too apathetic for relationships. While she strives to help others, she becomes less horrified and saddened by the deaths around her.Rye eventually climbed the ranks and was in a position close to the leader of BlackWing. The only thing she found about was that she was finally in a position of control and power as opposed to her memories of being a lab experiment and CMDU’s lap dog. She was there to do her job and leave. All until Nova showed up.Nova was the opposite of Rye, she was always positive and had a very morally good compass. Spending more time with Nova changed Rye’s behavior. Nova prefers to prove herself through individualism while Rye proves through adapting to the environment. The two rub off on each other as Nova helps Rye be less concerned with how others perceive her interests and uses it against them. Nova proved to Rye that relationships were still worth developing even in an apathetic world where you may lose loved ones. Rye allowed herself to be vulnerable with Nova and later Jun who joined their group.As Nova adapted more to the environment, her morals stooped lower than Rye’s which bothered her. And she hated it when Nova understood the ways of BlackWing and manipulated other people. Rye was filled with frustration when the one true person she viewed as a "good example" lost her innocence and values. Nova became apathetic to the risks of others for the sake of getting the job done, even less caring than the person Rye was. And Rye was not happy about this.Eventually, the two had a very unhealthy obsession with each other. Despite being a very caring older sister to Nova, Iris was never behind in her training and her missions in Reverian Roses. Iris was part of Reverian Roses specifically looking for the locations of the laboratories and infiltrating them rather than being a cybermutant hunter. She was a strong fighter, making her sometimes underestimate dangerous situations.Iris was assigned Rye as an apprentice and treated her as another younger sister.While Rye and Nova haven’t met yet, she thought they were very similar in that they were both very creative. She knew the two would be great friends if they ever met each other.Following a major incident, Iris’ arm, right eye and heart, was severely damaged. She was almost about to die until doctors tried to help her recover at the hospital. Iris was put in hyper sleep and her recovery lasted for many years and that the people around her viewed her as dead.When she suddenly woke up many years later, she felt as if she was caught in the explosion yesterday. Memories started to flood back to her and it came to her shock how many years had passed. The difficulties of getting used to the prosthetics and constant movement therapy weighed down on her a lot. She was a fighter, and now it was taken away from her. But the biggest reveal that totally destroyed her was that Nova and Rye were working for BlackWing, an environment where she couldn’t keep them safe.BACKSTORY
Ever since Iris found out the horrors of her fathers work, which was managing a lot of the RUNEVEL experiments in secret, she had always despised him. She watched her younger sister born for the purpose of being an experiment. When she was in middle school, she had always gotten into physical fights with anyone, especially her parents. She obviously didn’t win against adults but she was always very determined, most likely due to her anger issues.One night Iris finally decided to leave, she escaped with Nova and ran with papers and data full of information on the labs. She ran to Reverian Roses and outed about her father and the labs. They took the information and went to confront her father but he vanished. The information wasn’t everything but it was enough to lead to the discovery of the ORCA laboratory.Iris then joined Reverian Roses. She provided for Nova and wanted her to forget about their father. Nova joining Reverian Roses wasn’t even a thought that crossed her mind, she just wanted her to live a normal life. However, with Nova’s ability it might be impossible.LIKES

Even if some of the attention had gotten to his head, Damian never forgot what it was like to live in a violent and corrupted city. Damian is a charismatic and more popular member of Reverian Roses. He’s highly respected by his peers and those older than him. Along with being over confident at times, Damian is very genuine and childish with close friends or those he’s comfortable with…Damian also grew up as the spoiled younger sibling from a rich family. Despite his great life, Damian never forgot where he came from.Damian was born in Soarona Nebulascope. His real parents were missing and he was left with his younger sister. His environment was so poor and dangerous he thought it would be better to be dead than to continue living. When he was 9 years old, he decided to take his life and drag his 5 year old sister with him. Upon falling over the bridge, Damian and his sister were saved by a stranger.The stranger brought Damian and his sister to Revera and talked with Damian about his decision and convinced him not to go through with it. She also took his sister to a medical center to treat her injuries and malnutrition while Damian would stay in the care of the stranger. He viewed her like the mother he never had.Damian later realized that this woman was revealed to be a worker for RUNEVEL, manipulating and kidnapping those who are in a situation unable to defend themselves. He had no idea where his sister was anymore. Desperate, he started snooping around and looking for her which pissed off the strangers’ co-workers so Damian just had to escape.Damian ran away and found an orphanage where they took him in. He told them everything except the murder suicide attempt and that he was from Soarona, Nebulascope, since he knew Revera was not very fond of people from there. Additionally, he was worried they would send him to the labs. The caretakers took pity on him as they came to the conclusion that RUNEVEL was taking anyone at a disadvantage even if they were from Revera.A few months later, Damian was adopted by a loving family. They were the only ones he actually told about his past. He never even told anyone when he joined Reverian Roses. And when he did tell his mentor, Lionel, in the future, he was very disappointed.
Damian’s family was well respected in Revera, causing Damian to shoulder some pressures along with his new siblings. He met Dovella and Rye in Reverian Rosses and developed a strong friendship with Dovella since she also had family pressures.Years after the incident, Damian could have never predicted that Rye would end up as a cyber mutant hunter and later as a deputy in BlackWing.Damian’s still yearning for what she could have been if both their situation was different and she grew up in Revera. He absolutely hates that he can’t accept who she is now. He avoids facing his feelings by overworking himself in the Reverian Roses thinking fighting for a good cause can undo the guilt he feels from what happened when they were teenagers.Damian was assigned Noah as an apprentice and when Ava and her little sister were rescued, he became their parental figure and even “adopted” Ava’s younger sister after Ava and Noah were gone.RELATIONSHIPS:

Nova has always had a head start of her peers academically. One could almost call it gifted. However, her goals never lied in studying or a career. Nova was very interested in messing with people, socially and through technology. She loved building and tinkering with gadgets. Every technological problem was seen as a fun puzzle rather than a nuisance. And with her additional “advantage” given from birth, Nova was very keen on passively manipulating conversations. Her passive skill is very ignored by many which is much to her advantage. Rye has also always valued her intelligence and crazy ideas which were seen as unrealistic by many. Nova is also the most tech savvy out of the main protagonists. And while she is lacking physically, Nova will not hesitate to beat up someone if she has a crash out.LONG SUMMARY
Nova, the younger sister of Iris. Nova is the youngest of the 4 protagonists and joined the Reverian Roses training after Rye left and Iris “died”. Nova was not very good at her training and was mostly pushed around to do chores around the camp just like younger Rye.Nova later quit and joined BlackWing.In fact, everyone from BlackWing knew she was raised in a more relaxed environment. Nova was very scared and hesitant when joining BlackWing as she was not used to the chaotic lifestyle and dangerous environments she had to adapt to. She also hated it when Rye doubted her capabilities.As Rye and Nova spent more time together and eventually they started to care for each other. Their moral compasses started to switch. Nova stopped trying to fix Rye and accepted the way things were. She began becoming increasingly manipulative with other people and making them execute her plans for her. Plans that even Rye thought were insane. She walked on the border of what was cruel to achieve her plans. But at the end of the day Nova believes what she’s doing is for the greater good.Nova believes she is a very emotionally stable person.
