Rye is known for being a very difficult person to get along with. Born in Opal Center, being abducted by REVEL to be experimented on, and being the only survivor from the ORCA laboratory, Rye was rescued and joined Reverian Roses. After a tragic event, Rye made it to Soarona, Nebulascope, where she was adopted and raised in a criminal group known as BlackWing under Darven’s leadership.Despite her end goal of rescuing the other victims locked in the hidden laboratories, Rye’s environment has shaped her into becoming very aggressive and harsh. She has the tendency to see the worst in people, which is why meeting Haneul was so strange. Despite Revera being known to have a normal peaceful life, Rye has met many unpleasant people from there, but Haneul is new. Haneul was fiercely morally upright and was constantly trying to scold Rye for the things that seemed normal in Nebulascope. Rye saw her younger self in Haneul, the innocence that she believed was taken away when coming to Soarona. A reminder that she took it away from Haneul as well.TRAITS

Rye was the only victim survivor.Rye was born in Opal Center, Nebulascope. She was abducted by REVEL and sent to one of their laboratories called “ORCA.” Fortunately, since Rye spent a shorter amount of time there before being saved, Rye went through tamer experiments such as the changing of eye color. Others who have been there longer had more drastic issues.Rye was very much weaker than her other laboratory peers. Especially to her two friends Kimiko and Jae-won. The three were in the same class and all went through the same few experiment tests. Rye basically third wheeled their friendship because of her lack of physical capabilities. The three had planned an escape which involved Rye staying behind and backing them up as they would leave and find help outside. A tragic event of Rye trying to help them escape but accidentally leading them to their deaths.When Rye was saved, she did not hesitate to join Reverian Roses as a trainee with the hope of also helping the other victims from other laboratories. Unfortunately, she wasn’t the best at her training. She was assigned Iris as her mentor and idolized her. Iris was a strong and confident lady who could handle anything and she was also very caring towards Rye, almost like a sister. In Rye’s eyes, Iris was like a god.Rye had two friends, Damian and Dovella, whom she felt like a third wheel to. Damian and Dovella’s increasing closeness frustrated Rye since she couldn’t make that connection as easily with others. She also started to get hurt that the two met up in secret without her. However, Rye pretended to be oblivious about that.Upon learning more about the world and what BlackWing was, Rye was always confused on why Reverian Roses and BlackWing don’t just work together if they have a common enemy, REVEL. Little did she know about how different the values of both sides were. How different her life changed when she left Revera and returned to Nebulascope, joining BlackWing.Life in Soarona
Being raised in a power and money hungry environment, Rye has absorbed this viewpoint at the core of her life. She has developed abandonment issues and puts all her relationships with the members of BlackWing at surface level despite joining them in their crimes. The only thing she truly shares with the other members is that they were all affected by REVEL in some way. It also didn't help that Darven viewed Rye like a daughter but did not know how to treat her like one, and raised her like a distant mentor. He even gave her the title as “Orca” for being the only survivor from the laboratory which bothered her a lot.When Rye was still in Revera as a young child she enjoyed playing with gadgets and scraps that were recycled. She used to spray paint her belongings and tinker with robotics. Many people around her mocked what she liked doing, saying it was childish but because Iris supported her, she did not care.Now that nobody was there to back her up in BlackWing, Rye started to conform to social expectations not just for survival but also for gaining respect. She viewed more power = more respect. After learning that fighting was more viewed as a more useful skill to have, Rye put that at her priority and her old hobbies were completely abandoned. Rye later became one of most wanted in Revera, gaining more respect from others.Haneul, Iris’ younger sister, suddenly joined BlackWing. Rye was very sceptical of this and saw Haneul as too innocent and unable to keep up with the group. Haneul’s morals and viewpoints were too similar to Revera’s and she as a whole challenged Rye’s views. Haneul was also into stickers and less into fighting but was gaining the respect of Darven with her knowledge of technology and hacking. Rye despised Haneul because she reminded her of her younger self.Spending more time with Haneul changed her behavior. Haneul prefers to prove herself through individualism while Rye proves through adapting to the environment. The two rub off on each other as Haneul helps Rye be less concerned with how others perceive her interests and uses it against them. Rye went back to using spray paints and stickers, and becoming more distant with the other BlackWing members. They saw her more as a nuisance but wouldn’t bother to get in her way.The news of Iris’s return conflicted Rye a lot, as she is now met with the choice of returning to her old mentor or staying with BlackWing.As Haneul adapts more to the environment, her morals stoop lower than Rye’s which bothers Rye. Rye hated it when others perceived her as weak and vulnerable, the same way she viewed Haneul. And she hated it when Haneul understood the ways of Soarona and manipulated other people. Rye was filled with frustration when the one true person she viewed as a "good example" lost her innocence and values.Relationships:

Older sister of Haneul, Iris is one of the respected members of Reverian Roses. She looks up to her parents who died as heroes and wishes to save all the victims inside the secret laboratories. She was assigned an apprentice Rye and treated her like a younger sister.As much as she cared for Rye, she was frustrated with Rye not being able to follow her orders properly which put everyone in danger. Iris chose to look for her younger sister Haneul who was in danger and abandon Rye for a while only to be brutally attacked by one of the scientists from the lab. Iris was in critical condition and was put in hypersleep for many years as doctors tried to help her recover. Time moved on for everyone but her. When she woke up she struggled to accept that her limbs and right eye were gone. Along with being over confident at times, Damian is very genuine and childish with close friends or those he’s comfortable with…Damian also grew up as the spoiled younger sibling from a rich family. Despite his great life, Damian never forgot where he came from.Damian was born in Soarona Nebulascope. His real parents were missing and he was left with his younger sister. His environment was so poor and dangerous he thought it would be better to be dead than to continue living. When he was 9 years old, he decided to take his life and drag his 5 year old sister with him. Upon falling over the bridge, Damian and his sister were saved by a stranger.The stranger brought Damian and his sister to Revera and talked with Damian about his decision and convinced him not to go through with it. He also took his sister to a medical center to treat her injuries and malnutrition. Damian wouldn’t be able to see his sister for a few days as she had to undergo surgery.
Damian later realized this man was revealed to be a worker for REVEL, manipulating and kidnapping those who are in a situation unable to defend themselves. He had no idea where his sister was anymore. Desperate, he started snooping around and looking for her which pissed off the strangers’ co-workers so Damian just had to escape.Damian ran away and found an orphanage where they took him in. He told them everything except the murder suicide attempt and that he was from Nebulascope, since he knew Revera was not very fond of people from there. Additionally, he was worried they would send him to the labs. The caretakers took pity on him as they came to the conclusion that REVEL was taking anyone at a disadvantage even if they were from Revera.A few months later, Damian was adopted by a loving family. They were the only ones he actually told about his past. He never even told anyone when he joined Reverian Roses. And when he did tell his mentor, Lionel, in the future, he was very disappointed.Damian’s family was well respected in Revera, causing Damian to shoulder some pressures along with his new siblings. He met Dovella and Rye in Reverian Rosses and developed a strong friendship with Dovella since she also had family pressures. Damian was also very fond of Rye since he found her to be braver than he was since it was no secret she was from Nebulascope, and she was fine with it. The two also had the same view of Iris, viewing her as their savior.Damian has always hated himself for making Rye feel unwanted when they were younger. He always liked her and told Dovella of his feelings. The two secretly met up to plan ideas on how he could get closer to her which made Damian and Dovella grow close as friends. But when Rye saw them have a close relationship it only drew Rye and Damian apart more. He was afraid to face her about his feelings. The day Damian told her where he was from was the day he couldn’t save her from being taken by Darven.He saw what Rye became when she joined BlackWing and he never forgave himself for letting her become a horrible person. He’s still yearning for what she could have been and she hates that he can’t accept who she is now. He avoids facing his feelings by overworking himself in the Reverian Roses thinking fighting for a good cause can undo the guilt he feels.He was assigned Noah as an apprentice and when Ava and her little sister were rescued, he was became their parental figure and even “adopted” Ava’s younger sister after Ava and Noah were gone.Relationships:

Despite being pushed to do chores around the Reverian Roses camp due to being poor in her training, Haneul strives to continue being positive and determined to prove herself. Both her parents and her older sister were known as loved heroes which put a lot of pressure on her to do the same, leading to many stupid decisions. Haneul, the younger sister of Iris. Haneul is the youngest of the 4 protagonists and joined Reverian Roses training after Rye left and Iris was injured. Ever since their parents died saving Revera she has been avoiding her deep hatred for their choices. She understands their heroic actions but can’t help but feel abandoned that their parents chose to help others then raise their own children. Haneul has been suppressing this envy and keeping a bubbly and positive mentality for years. Like Rye, Haneul was not very good at her training and was mostly pushed around to do chores around the camp.Desperate to prove herself, she made the stupid decision to join BlackWing as a spy and break it down from the inside. She wasn't ordered from Revera, it was her own choice.In fact, everyone from BlackWing knew she was from Revera but decided to go along with her game, pretending to be clueless. Getting used to the corrupt and dangerous way of Nebulascope let alone BlackWing was a difficult change and she hated it at the start. But little did she know that meeting Rye would change her world. She realized her true feelings of what her parents did and accepted that Iris went down the same path. It begins Haneul’s dread of the countdown for when she will destroy BlackWing.Haneul was very scared and hesitant when joining BlackWing as she was not used to the chaotic lifestyle and dangerous environments she had to adapt to. She also hated it when Rye looked down on her.Rye and Haneul spent more time together and eventually they started to care for each other. Haneul also started to care for Darven as well. Her moral compass started to switch with Rye’s and she started to manipulate and feel less guilty when hurting others in her plans.
