Rye was originally from Revera and part of the Reverian Roses training program. She was only close to Damian, childhood friend, and Iris, her mentor. She was less capable and respected by her peers who constantly saw her as a drag to the group. She had more childish interests and often acted younger than others her age.After being “betrayed” by Iris, not knowing Iris’ did not purposefully leave Rye, she was adopted by Darven, enemy of Reverian Roses, and was raised in Soarona, Nebulascope. She became an enemy to Revera and her past friends.Being raised in a power and money hungry environment, Rye has absorbed this viewpoint at the core of her life. She has developed abandonment issues and puts all her relationships with the members of Grey River at surface level. Darven viewed Rye like a daughter but did not know how to treat her like one, and raised her like a distant mentor, someone who would overtake his organization if he died. Despite enjoying the thrill of fighting and jumping through buildings, Rye enjoys her occasional strolls through the night city and feeding pigeons.When Rye was still in Revera as a young child she enjoyed playing with gadgets and scraps that were recycled. She used to spray paint her belongings and tinker with robotics. Many people around her mocked what she liked doing saying it was childish but because there was still Iris and Damian who supported her, she did not care. Now that nobody was there to back her up in Grey River, Rye started to conform to social expectations not just for survival but also for gaining respect. She viewed more power = more respect. After learning that fighting was more viewed as a more useful skill to have, Rye put that at her priority and her old hobbies were completely abandoned when moving to Nebulascope. Nova, Iris’ younger sister, suddenly joined Grey River. Rye was very sceptical of this and saw Nova as too innocent and unable to keep up with the group. Her morals and viewpoints were too similar to Revera’s. Nova as a whole challenged Rye’s views. Nova was also into stickers and less into fighting but was gaining the respect of Darven with her knowledge of technology and hacking. Rye saw her as her younger self but actually capable.The news of Iris’s return conflicted Rye a lot, as she is now met with the choice of returning to her old mentor or staying with Grey River.Spending more time with Nova changed her behavior. Nova prefers to prove herself through individualism while Rye proves through adapting to the environment. The two rub off on each other as Nova helps Rye be less concerned with how others perceive her interests and uses it against them.LIKES

Iris is the oldest of the group. She was in her mid 20s when Rye and Damian were pre-teens and Nova was a child. She was everyone’s big sister and understood the importance of being strong physically and emotionally. Iris was suddenly wrapped up in the Revera lab’s experiments and was accidentally thrown into a different dimension (might change this part). When she figured out a way to return to her world in 12-13 minutes, 12-13 years had passed. What felt like a few minutes to her was years in the real world. Iris faces the difficulty of accepting that everyone is grown, people have changed, her mentor and younger sister are working for her enemy.LIKES
